How to Find the Right Part by Model Number

By James Anderson

Order the wrong part and you've lost a day. The good news: identifying the right one takes about two minutes if you know where to look.

The short version: Find the data plate on your machine, note the model number and serial number, then match the part by its OEM part number — or send both to us and we'll confirm.

1. Find the data plate

Most commercial machines carry a metal or printed data plate. Common locations:

  • Inside the front door or service panel
  • On the rear or side of the cabinet
  • Behind the kick panel on undercounter units

It lists the model number (e.g. IDT0420A) and a serial number.

2. Note the model and serial

The model number tells us the machine family; the serial number narrows down the production revision, which matters because some parts changed mid-run.

3. Cross-reference the part

Every genuine part has an OEM part number. On KE Parts Hub you can:

4. Still not sure? Ask.

If the plate is missing or worn, photograph the old part and the machine and send it to us. We'll cross-reference it and confirm the correct genuine OEM part before you commit.
